2023 Kazakhstani Government Scholarships For International Students

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites international candidates, including Kazakh nationals who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to study full-time in Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. educational programs.

Documents Required for Application

1. Passport;
2. a transcript of grades from the previous level of education, along with an appendix (if available) and a notarized translation into Kazakh, Russian, or English (bachelor’s or specialist diploma with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or its equivalent attained in educational institutions);
3. Essay about motivation in English, Russian, or Kazakh;
4. 2 letters of reference in Kazakh, Russian, or English from the applicant’s educational institution or from their job;
5. A medical certificate for study abroad as well as a certificate from the national health service of the applicant’s country of residency attesting to the absence of HIV infection and AIDS;
6. Application form;
7. Invitation letter from a Kazakhstan university (if applicable);
8. Validation of the dissertation study subject in the language of teaching (Kazakh, Russian, or English);
9. An international certificate demonstrating proficiency in a foreign language:

• IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System Academic): at least 5.5;
• TOEFL IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test), at least 46;
• TOEFL PBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-based test), at least 453;
• German: Deutsche Sprachpruefung fuer den Hochschulzugang (DSH, Niveau B2/level B2), TestDaF-Prufung (Niveau B2/level B2);
• French: TFI (Test de Français International™) – not lower than B2 level in reading and listening sections), DELF (Diplome d’Etudes en Langue française) – level B2, DALF (Diplome Approfondi de Langue française) – level B2, TCF (Test de connaissance du français) – at least 50 points;

Application forms are available in Kazakh, Russian, and English.

When completing the application form, candidates should attach scanned copies of the required documents, which are provided for each level of study.
